Consultation

I offer a free (approximately 30 minute) telephone consultation prior to the intake session to discuss the concerns prompting your choice to seek treatment. During that call, you are welcome to ask any questions about the treatment process. I will provide some initial thoughts on what services may be helpful to address your needs.

Rates

My fee for a therapy session is $125, unless otherwise arranged via your insurance company or contracted directly with me. Cash, checks, electronic payments are accepted at the time of service. I accept payment through the Thera-link website as well. If you would like to be billed through insurance, you are responsible for your co-pay at the time of each appointment. Fees for special services, such as reports and testimony, are based on an hourly rate that includes travel time. Any such fees will be discussed directly with you prior to delivery of services. I do not bill for short telephone contacts (under 15 minutes). However, more extensive phone contact with you or others on your behalf (i.e., schools, counselors, attorneys, etc.) will be billed directly to you, as insurance does not typically cover these services.

Insurance

Health Insurance Plans

I accept most insurances; however, I am considered an out-of-network provider. When considering services, it is important to know your coverage and your deductible. If you would like to be billed through insurance, some questions to ask your insurance company are:

1) What is the out-of-network deductible? Have you met your deductible for the year?

2) How much is your copay or coinsurance?

3) How many sessions are covered?

4) Do you need prior approval or authorization?

Victims of Crime Compensation (VCCO)

If you or your child’s mental health difficulties are resulting from a crime that occurred in the state of New Jersey, you or your child may qualify for reimbursement of therapy services through the Victims of Crime Compensation Office. If you plan to use VCCO for reimbursements, please have your claim number ready when you schedule your appointment. Go to the Victims of Crime Compensation Office website to see if you qualify and to begin the application process.
